1 out of 5 kids in America = 16 million struggle with hunger
3 out of 5 kids in grades K-8 regularly come to school hungry in America
More than 8,000 sandwiches a day are distributed to hungry children in schools in Israel
Children who do not eat enough do not do as well in school
16 million kids in America alone live in housholds that struggle to put food on the table.
More than one third of Israeli Children live below that poverty line; that is 850,000 children.
The JCC Greenwich Teen Action Committee Wants To Make A Difference!
Through a Teen Philanthropy Initiative we are working to reach our goal of raising $3,000 that we will allocate to one of three agencies working to end child hunger. If we exceed our goal, your generosity will help us give to all three.
Leket Israel, Jewish Family Service & Masbia are organizations working with various populations of children who struggle with hunger on a daily basis. We want to do our part in the important work of feeding these children.
