NFL legend Ray Lewis has driven to the Baltimore Ravens’ stadium on Sundays for 16 years, and as he approaches the stadium he passes dilapidated homes and people in need of assistance. As a Board Member of United Athletes Foundation (UAF), Lewis knew that things could be and needed to be done to change this situation.
Along with UAF Founder and President Reggie Howard, these two athletes are creating a public-private partnership that will revitalize blighted communities by developing quality, safe, affordable housing and teach financial literacy to the new homebuyers and renters moving into the renovated houses.
To incentivize those to give, UAF is giving away items ranging from t-shirts to autographed memorabilia to tickets to sit in a box at the Ravens/Redskins game this year – depending on what level you donate.
The UAF Community Redevelopment Platform will consist of five distinct pillars:
- Housing Development
- Life Skills Training
- Small Business Development
- Workforce Development
- Financial Literacy
Non-profit partners and government officials are already lining up to make this project work, but we need gifts from individuals like you to propel this initiative over the top.
Together, we can make a difference.
