Driving Home Accessibility
Help us Drive Home Accessibility
The AbleGamers Foundation is about to take accessibility to the next level. As of today, AbleGamers is launching its biggest and most far-reaching initiative to date. Driving Home Accessibility is a new project aimed at bringing the state-of-the-art equipment housed in every AbleGamers Lab directly to those who need it the most, the ones who can’t come to us because of their disability.
Some gamers with disabilities simply can’t make it out to gaming conferences, disability expos or any of our laboratories. After extensive testing and research, we came up with our most game changing idea to date: Why not take highly trained assistive technology experts, put them in a vehicle stuffed to the brim with every single piece of assistive technology, specialized equipment, gaming peripheral and hardware system on the market today, and bring all of it to children’s hospitals, VA centers, and long-term living facilities, around the country… hell, someday the world…
The Driving Home Accessibility project is a first-of-its-kind, never been done before, game accessibility project that puts YOU in the driver’s seat.
We’re asking you and our friends around the industry to come together and help us build a vehicle that can change the lives of thousands of people by bringing everything AbleGamers has to the locations of people who need our help the most.
We’ll drive this thing around the country, year-round, visiting people with disabilities and talking about the various ways you can play games no matter your disability. At every stop we’ll give away as much of the equipment as funding allows, which means the more money we raise, the more equipment we can give away.
Help us drive home accessibility! Gather your fellow gamers, friends, family, strangers, enemies, and mystical gaming unicorns, and sign up to raise money for this inspirational project.
