Founded in 1973, the Yale Undergraduate Gospel Choir is dedicated to the mission of spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ through song. 

We strive to fulfill this mission through performances throughout our campus, in the wider New Haven community, and beyond during our annual Spring Tour.

Each year tour brings choir to a national or international destination where we not only bring our ministry of song to new communities, but also engage in community service and strive to make a real impact in the spaces that we so briefly visit.

Having researched and prayed over it, we have decided to travel to the Republic of Cuba from March 12th to 19th, 2016! We are already well into the process of organizing our time there, and we are excited about all of the ways that we can bless and be blessed by engaging with the diverse communities of the country. 

The Christian community of Cuba has been undergoing a period of exciting growth and change over the past several years. New churches, and the reinvigoration of older ones, is an increasingly present reality. YGC strives to affirm these communities while learning from them however we can. 

In addition, we hope to utilize our time to contribute to the community service, charity, and social-good work that these bodies carry out in the country.

And we need your help! Over the next few months we will be kicking our outreach efforts into gear. Your donations can augment the grants and fundraising that we are already doing ourselves, and make tour a reality for 2016. We are raising $25,000 principally to cover costs of transportation, lodging, and food while we are in the country. Any amount, however small, can be a great help.
