IN SOLIDARITY: CELEBRATING LOCAL REFUGEE YOUTH
by On behalf of the RYP, Baltimore City Community College's Foundation
Baltimore City Community College Refugee Youth Project (RYP) provides a safe space for newcomers to connect with peers who have overcome similar, challenging situations. Youth receive tutoring and mentoring from trained volunteers who help increase their language skills, confidence, and comfort with their new surroundings. RYP currently serves over 320 students, who have fled countries including Syria, the Congo, Eritrea, Burma, Bhutan, and Rwanda.
