What is WeDidIt?
WeDidIt is the crowdfunding platform for nonprofits. We’re a tech start-up in Brooklyn that provides all the tools and resources you need to develop, launch and promote successful crowdfunding campaigns.
How does WeDidIt work?
By harnessing the virality of crowdfunding and leveraging it for those looking to fix the problems they see in the world.
What is all-or-nothing fundraising?
All-or-Nothing Fundraising is a funding model in which the organization seeking funds sets an amount they want to raise and a deadline to raise that amount (usually 30 or 45 days). The campaign must be fully funded before the deadline, or else donors keep their money and don’t get their rewards. ly funded before its time expires, or no money changes hands.
What are the benefits of All-orNothing Fundaraising?
What makes the all-or-nothing model great is that:
- Creates a sense of urgency amongst your prospects and current donors.
- Allows you to fundraise for interesting projects that require a certain level of funding.
- Motivates donors to share the campaign with others in order to receive their rewards.
What is Traditional Fundraising?
Traditional Fundraising is a funding model in which the organization keeps all money donated, regardless of hitting their fundraising goal.
Why do people donate?
People donate to crowdfunding projects all the time. And for good reasons:
- Involvement - the opportunity to have a meaningful impact
- Rewards - great rewards in exchange for their donation
- Inspiration - a cause they believe in
Can crowdfunding help my organization increase its exposure?

I'm a donor
How do I make a donation?
To make a donation, just click the large “Donate to this Campaign” button found on any campaign page. You will then be asked to enter your pledge amount and select a reward. Or you can always select a donation tier with a preset donation amount.
Why do I have to create an account to donate?
Creating an account ensures that the nonprofit can tell who made a donation, and enables them to properly ship your reward once the campaign is over.
What if I want to make a traditional donation?
If the campaign is all-or-nothing then the organization will only receive your donation if they hit their fundraising goal. After donating you can increase the likelihood of them hitting their goal by promoting the campaign to your friends and family members.
When do I get charged?
In all-or-nothing campaigns, your credit card will only be charged after the campaign is successfully funded. If an all-or-nothing campaign is not successfully funded your card will not be charged. If the campaign is a traditional fundraiser your card will be charged immediately.
When do I get my reward?
Once the campaign you have donated to is over, the nonprofit organization will begin distributing rewards. The amount of time can vary depending on the type of reward, but we encourage all our nonprofits to be very communicative while distributing rewards so that you know when you will get yours.
Can I select a reward that doesn’t match my donation?
You can request a reward that is in a lesser tier but never a reward that is above the level at which you donated. To request a lesser reward send a message with your donation letting the organization know your special request.
Can I make a donation if I don’t want a reward?
Yes, you sure can.
Is my donation tax deductible?
Depends on a few factors like if you received a reward in exchange for the donation and the value of your donation above that rewards cost, etc. You may contact the nonprofit you donated to directly to receive information on whether or not your donation is tax deductible. Nonetheless, the emailed receipts you will receive for your donation is the documentation you need to make it tax deductible.
Is my credit card info secure?
To ensure that your information is secure, WeDidIt processes donations through WePay. WePay is a certified Level 1 PCI Compliant Service Provider (the highest level), which requires an annual independent security audit of their processes and systems. We don’t save or share your credit card info with anyone.

What are the processing fees?
WePay, our credit card processor, charges a fee of 2.9% + 30 cents per transaction on successful donations.
What happens if I don’t hit my funding goal?
- On all-or-nothing campaigns - if you don’t hit your goal, no money changes hands and no rewards are sent out. Your donors’ credit cards aren’t charged, and you receive nothing.
- On traditional campaigns - If you don’t hit your goal, don’t sweat it. You still get to keep what you’ve raised.
What happens if I hit my goal before the campaign is over?
Congratulations! You’ll keep the funds raised above your goal too. But don’t stop now - whatever you’ve been doing keep on doing it. Keep promoting your campaign and raise even more. You might even want to consider offering new rewards to entice donors to donate again and attract new donors.
What type of funding model should I choose, All-or-Nothing or Traditional?
All-or-Nothing: If your intended project or endeavor cannot be achieved unless you raise at least a certain amount of money. For example, needing to raise $25,000 to build a rooftop garden.
Traditional: If you’re raising money for general operating expenses or existing programs. For example, targeting $50,000 in your year-end fundraiser.
Traditional: If you’re raising money for general operating expenses or existing programs. For example, targeting $50,000 in your year-end fundraiser.

How do I join the vendor store?
If you’d like to sell your products through our Vendor Store, please
to submit an application. Once you are approved, you can begin uploading your company’s information and products!
How do I get paid?
Upon campaign completion the nonprofit organization will place a wholesale order with you for the exact number of items they sold in their fundraising campaign. You’ll be paid before any items are shipped.
What does All-or-Nothing fundraising mean for a vendor?
If the nonprofit hits their fundraising goal, you get an order, if the campaign does not hit it’s goal, the donors keep their money and no one gets their reward. It also means that you must maintain communication with the nonprofit regarding product inventory. There is no way to know how many items will be sold in a campaign so it is a must to ensure items will be in stock when the campaign is complete.
What are the requirements for me to join the vendor store?
The basic requirement for joining the vendor store is that your products must fall under one of the following categories:
- Eco-sustainable
- Socially Responsible
- Fair trade
- Organic

How do the items get shipped?
